"The third prince of the Dragon King is here, dispatched by the Great Sage." The Dragon King's third prince in the children's version of "Journey to the West" left a deep artistic impression on me. He transformed into a white dragon and could travel through the heavens and the seas. Moreover, the dragon is an ancient totem symbol in China, so the influence of the dragon has always been a sacred symbol. And the dragon palace they lived in was even more mysterious. The Sea-Controlling Spirit Needle, the shrimp soldiers and crabs, the night-luminous dragon balls, summoning wind and rain. The dragon that controls precipitation, exactly where it lives, I had always had fantasies about these things when I was young. Located in the northwest region of China, among the three thousand continuous mountains, there exists a mysterious "Dragon Palace". The school media of Guizhou collaborated with Ctrip.com and on the day of the Vernal Equinox in 2016, they went to Anshun City, Guizhou Province to carry out this trip to the Dragon Palace. The scenic area of "Dragon Palace" was approved by the State Council to be included in the second batch of national scenic spots in 1988. On May 8, 2007, it was officially approved by the National Tourism Administration as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. This area, with an area of 60 square kilometers, has its own unique world.
On March 20th, at 10 o'clock in the morning, we officially arrived at the Longgong Scenic Area. After a brief overview of the itinerary, the Long Gong Team began their day's activities. The team members were all very eager to encounter wonderful scenery in the Longgong area and were full of anticipation for this event.
It is the season when cherry blossoms are in full bloom. As you enter the scenic area, cherry blossoms are in full display on both sides, presenting a delightful scene. The fresh floral fragrance fills the air, leaving a pleasant impression. I won't go into details here. I hope that in the future, everyone can experience it for themselves at Longgong. It will definitely be breathtaking. Around the Wolong Bridge, we felt what it means to have "the water shining brightly when the sky is clear". The water is clear and transparent, and the mountains and water complement each other. The green forest of bamboo and pine trees make me linger and forget to leave. Although it is not the water season yet, there are still many tourists coming to the scenic area to enjoy the natural scenery.
In the Longgong Scenic Area, there is also a village of the Buyi ethnic group. The villagers of the village live there. The environment is harmonious, and the concept of harmonious coexistence between people and nature is fully demonstrated here. After taking a short rest here, we released the camera we brought for aerial photography. Because below is the Longgong Heavenly Pool. As the natural barrier before entering "Longgong", the Longgong Heavenly Pool is not located in a perilous terrain; instead, the water surface is calm, but it cannot be underestimated. The Longgong Heavenly Pool in the aerial photography was hidden very well by the surrounding mountains when viewed from the sky. Without a boat, it is impossible to enter the interior of Longgong. The narrow entrance can be ignored, and this is the wonderful feature of the entrance of "Longgong". Then, we got on a small boat and prepared to enter the long-awaited Longgong.
At this ferry crossing, I suddenly recalled a sentence from Jin Yong's novel, which described Guo Xiang and Yang Paotuo. "The first encounter at Fengling Ferry, I fell in love with Yang Paotuo and never wanted to break it off." During my youth, one shouldn't encounter too stunning people, otherwise one might lament whether life after that would be somewhat mundane. Next time if there's a chance, I want to take a walk in Longgong alone. It would also be a kind of mood.
The weather was very hot, but the water was a bit cool. This landscape was truly a delight for me, a child born in the northeast. The gentle breeze on my face was very comfortable. As the small boat moved along, we entered the interior of the Dragon Palace. The temperature dropped significantly immediately. The river channel here was very narrow, allowing only one small boat to pass at a time, but the space above was quite spacious. The river channels were either naturally formed or slowly excavated by humans. But it was truly beautiful. The palace was colorful and magnificent, presenting a truly unique and wonderful scene. The karst landform in the southwestern region was perfectly displayed here. The rocks that formed over thousands or tens of thousands of years were in all kinds of strange shapes, making people marvel at the extraordinary craftsmanship of nature. There were numerous underground rivers and caves, and it was called "China's First Water Cave" because the underground river was 15 miles long. "Exploring the Dragon Palace to learn about all the water caves in the world, rowing a small boat to enjoy the fairyland on earth" truly lives up to its reputation.
After leaving the "Dragon Palace", I remained immersed in the wonderful experience for quite a while. I felt a sense similar to that of the popular movie "The Search for the Dragon" from last year. "When training dragons, always look at Cangshan. Every rush at Cangshan is a new level of challenge." Perhaps there are indeed secrets here. Those who want to explore should come here to truly experience it.
My visit to the "Dragon Palace" was not necessary in the first place. While touring the magnificent landscapes of our country, I also made many friends with similar interests. After all, this is a 5A-level tourist attraction in the country. There are undoubtedly many hidden wonders and beauties that I haven't discovered yet. But just these few scenic spots alone are already renowned both at home and abroad. The geological and geomorphic features here have great scientific research value and are significant for studying the formation and evolution of the terrain. Taking photos here is also a great place to do so. The radiation is low, the air is good, and the scenery is beautiful. It's also a good choice for the elderly to come here for self-cultivation and relaxation.
