On April 10th, 2016, "Ctrip Dragon Palace Tour for Cultural Enthusiasts" I joined a group and set off from Guiyang, arriving at the national 5A-level scenic area - Dragon Palace.

Longgong is located adjacent to the world-famous Huangguoshu Waterfall. It is 116 kilometers away from Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou Province, and only 27 kilometers away from Anshun, the major tourism center of Guizhou. The entire journey can be driven directly via expressway, making the transportation extremely convenient.

Passing through a fork in the road, our car began to enter the scenic area. The scene before me woke me up from my drowsy state while riding. The towering and magnificent cliffs, the craggy and imposing stone forest, with lush green bamboos surrounding them, seemed to have taken me into another artistic style. I leaned out of the window and took in every scenery along the way until our car reached the Dragon Pool Tourist Service Center. I think I will fall in love with this place.

After getting off the vehicle, the local people greeted us warmly and introduced us to a local girl as our guide. She was very familiar with every single thing in the Dragon Palace, and every day she had to lead countless tourists visiting this place. She said that the Dragon Palace has three most remarkable features: the first is the largest cave waterfall in the country - the Longmen Flying Waterfall; the second is the longest underground river - the First Water-Soluble Cave in China; and the third is the natural radiation level of the Dragon Palace's Heavenly Lake, which is the lowest in the country.

Crossing a bridge feels like entering a paradise. With a small bridge, flowing water and houses, it seems as if you are in a painting. The water flows quietly, with green mountains and clear water. The softness and poetry are beyond description. At the end of the road is a wall with the calligraphy of a longevity character written by a master of the Song Dynasty philosophy. It is said that if you close your eyes and stretch out your hand towards the longevity character, touching the center means you have good fortune. I think, even if you don't actually touch it, as long as you close your eyes and experience it with your heart, you are already a person with good fortune. Going to the right, the roar of the Longmen Waterfall is like thunder, like the tide surging forward. Together with the longevity character wall, it forms the landscape of "Thunder Sound and Tide of Longevity".

Above the Dragon Waterfall is a Heavenly Pool. The waterfall rushes down from the rocks. The tour guide explained that the water in the Heavenly Pool is blocked by sandstone, and over the years, it has eroded the surrounding rocks in a 90-degree turn to the southwest. Eventually, the cracks became larger and larger, and the water in the Heavenly Pool flowed down in a continuous stream, thus becoming the Dragon Waterfall. After the waterfall rushed down, there were several clear small pools underground, with transparent water that was completely clear. The pool surface was smooth and without any ripples. This reminded me of the sentence in Sun Wu's "The Art of War - Nine Grounds": "It is like a maiden who remains still and a hare that runs swiftly." 

Taking the sightseeing elevator, the entire Dragon Palace scenic area comes into view. The large "dragon" character composed of rape flowers and soybean fields appears before my eyes. During the season when rape flowers are in full bloom, the yellow rape flowers form the base, and the green soybean fields form the dragon shape, which is very magnificent. When I arrived at the Heavenly Pool, I took a small boat to explore it. I took a deep breath and felt the low-radiation Heavenly Pool. My entire lungs were moistened, and the air was really nice.

Oh. The small boat moved slowly, and then it entered the underground underground river.

That is, "entering the Dragon Palace for the first time", "entering the Dragon Palace for the second time".

The stalactites inside the cave are in countless shapes and forms. The structure of the cave hall resembles the palace of the Dragon King in mythology. It is truly like "an underground Lijiang River and a sky-high stone forest", "enjoying the Dragon Palace and learning about the world's water caves, rowing a small boat and experiencing the fairyland on earth". If you want to experience the plot in "The Buried Alive", you must do it in person. However

This is not a cave, yes, it's a fairyland. Inside the cave, the stalactites are in countless shapes and forms, allowing for endless imagination and presenting a unique charm. I particularly enjoy watching the wonders of the stalactites. Taking deep breaths and letting go, I feel refreshed and invigorated. The dragon palace is 840 meters long and can be traversed by boat through the underground rivers of the cave. Above, the colorful cave wonders, like a splendid night sky, intermingle with the calm water reflection. The second part of the dragon palace is 400 meters long. The cave features rough and simple landscapes, with deep and secluded pools and cool water. It feels like entering a time tunnel. The pleasure of taking a boat into the palace is truly indescribable. 

After leaving the palace, one passes through the "Herbal Valley" and arrives at the largest cave temple - the Guanyin Cave. The temple built in the cave is high and spacious. People come in a continuous stream to burn incense and worship Buddha. They place their requests in front of the Buddha with their palms joined together. They have an unwritten agreement that if their requests are fulfilled, they will return to fulfill their vows. It is already noon, and a few rays of sunlight enter the cave. The smoke from the incense rises. "With sincere hearts, miracles will occur" - it is hoped that everyone's requests will be fulfilled.

The last stop was "Xuantang". Due to the dry season, we didn't witness the spectacular scene of "the mountain not moving but the water flowing". 

I have understood the beauty of the Dragon Palace. I look forward to staying there for a longer time next time.
