Guanyin Cave

The largest cave temple in China, Guanyin Cave, is known as "The World's Greatest Buddha Cave". The main hall of the cave is spacious, with an area of over 1,000 square meters. Inside the cave, there is a white-robed compassionate mother Guanyin statue, which is 12.6 meters tall and has a 1.8-meter-tall lotus pedestal. It is the largest Guanyin statue in the southwestern region. Look, the Guanyin statue has a dignified expression and a kind face. On both sides of her are a 9.6-meter-tall dragon maiden and a 6.5-meter-tall Shengcai Boya. The locals call them Golden Boy and Jade Girl. Above the main hall, there is a natural Guanyin statue formed by stone stalactites. It is connected to the natural cave water of the Nine Dragons Pool. Due to the well-preserved vegetation on the mountain top, water from the underground sources seeps down throughout the year, making it clear and sweet. The local people call it the Guanyin Bodhisattva sprinkling nectar. It is said that this spring water has the miraculous effect of curing diseases and strengthening the body. It is regarded as sacred water by people from near and far and is eagerly consumed.
