Introduction to Longgong Scenic Area

Longgong Scenic Area integrates various karst geological landform landscapes such as caves, canyons, waterfalls, peak forests, cliffs, rivers, stone forests, funnels, and underground rivers. It is the most concentrated and comprehensive scenic area showcasing karst landform forms, and is hailed as "All of the Karst in the World is in Longgong".

The largest single character in the world - the character "Long" - in the form of a field

It uses a method of intercropping two crops, inspired by the cursive script of the Tang Dynasty calligrapher Huai Su. The area covers approximately 80,000 square meters and is the largest single-character formation in the world. It is one of the three wonders of the Dragon Palace.

The largest cave karst waterfall in China - Longmen Flying Waterfall

It is formed by the water from Tianchi Pool. It is a typical karst underground waterfall. The cave is 50 meters high, the waterfall is 38 meters high, and the width is 25 meters. Longmen hangs high and resembles a sky window. The flowing water splits rocks and spurts out, splashing pearls and jade, with a magnificent momentum, making it one of the three most remarkable sights in the Dragon Palace.

The place with the lowest natural radiation dose rate in the world as determined by the Chinese Atomic Energy Agency - Tianchi

Tianchi is the turning point of the underground river of the Dragon Palace. Due to the widening of the river channel and the continuous dissolution of the rock mass by the underground water, the roof of the cave eventually collapsed, forming Tianchi.

The longest and most beautiful karst cave in China - The First and Second Dragon Palace

The First and Second Dragon Palace winds its way beneath the strange peaks and valleys of the Dragon Palace, truly a remarkable sight. Traveling through the cave's underground river by boat, the colorful wonders within the cave, like a splendid night sky, intermingle with the reflection of the calm water. The cave's landscape is rugged, with strange stalactites, as if carved by knives or axes. The water is deep and murky, with twists and turns that are mysterious and enchanting. The water curtain film is dazzlingly colorful, and while traveling through it, it feels as if you are in a "time tunnel", filled with delightful surprises.

The swirling water wonder of "Xuan Tang" - where the water flows but the mountains do not - is a typical karst funnel landform. It is connected to the Tong Xuan Short River. The water in the pond does not rely on wind power and rotates ceaselessly day and night along the tangent direction in a clockwise manner.

The largest cave temple in China - Guanyin Cave

It is named after a stone stalactite about 50 meters high on the cave wall, which resembles the image of Guanyin.
