I just returned from Guizhou. The scenery of Huangguoshu is absolutely stunning! It was well worth the trip! A friend said he had been there, but the waterfall was just average. Turns out he didn't choose the right time to go. Now it's the rainy season, and the waterfall is truly magnificent, very refreshing and cool!
On Guqun Road in the urban area of Guiyang, the food was extremely bad. That snack called "silk doll" is actually a kind of Sichuan spring roll, and the taste was terrible. The price was also high, even the small portion cost 20 yuan. I and LG勉强吃了几个,完全没有胃口。
I highly recommend the East Street Xiangzi Night Market in Anshun City. It's very lively. We had authentic charcoal-grilled fish, and the taste was very good. Moreover, the price of the grilled fish here is much cheaper than in Guiyang.
When visiting Huangguoshu, it's best to rent a local taxi. The price is the same as the scenic area bus, 50 yuan per person. The service and time are quite good, much more convenient than the scenic area bus. I also left the driver's phone number. I won't advertise here.
After returning, I will read the travel guides from the net again. I found that many of them are just empirical summaries, but before going there, the situation wasn't clear, and these travel guides couldn't be fully utilized.
In addition, regarding the four-day three-night self-guided tour arranged by Ctrip (departing from Chengdu), here are some thoughts: On the first day, we arrived early by plane and stayed at Guiyang Hualian Hotel. This hotel is in a very good location, but the hardware and service were just passable (the hotel is mixed in with a bunch of shopping malls, which feels very unprofessional). We stayed on the 11th floor, the room was very old, and there was a musty smell. The third night was also at this hotel, on the 18th floor. The hardware of the room was newer, and it felt much better, but there was still a musty smell. Next to it was a Home Inn, with the same location. The cost of Home Inn would be higher. The third night was in Tianzhu Waterfall in Anshun. This hotel is relatively new, and the environment is okay, but the location is not good. It's at the intersection of the highway from Guiyang to Anshun, and it's still a long way from the Anshun urban area. There are very few taxis coming here. From Anshun to Huangguoshu, we took a bus at the South Bus Station. I saw a hotel called "Miracle..." nearby. The location here should be much more convenient. Note that going to Longgong is at the West Bus Station. So in general, the arrangement of this hotel, whether going to the scenic area or returning to Guiyang or visiting Anshun City, is very inconvenient. And personally, I suggest staying in Anshun for two nights (Huangguoshu is also fine), and staying in Guiyang for the last night. This itinerary is easier to arrange time and is more enjoyable, and won't waste the first night staying in Guiyang because of the need to go there. (Both trips are early flights).
This travelogue is very scattered and messy. Anyway, it's just a rush to write it down for everyone to see based on my personal experience.
