On January 5, 2024, the special stamps of the Year of the Dragon were grandly released across the country. Our province held the main venue at Longgong Scenic Area in Anshun City, and other cities and districts across the province simultaneously held the launch event of the special stamps of the Year of the Dragon. The on-site activities were splendid. As the province with the most complete resources of zodiac place names, this was the fourth round of zodiac stamps issuance period when Guizhou once again held a grand launch ceremony of zodiac special stamps.

The special stamps of the Year of the Dragon are a set of two stamps. The first one is named "Heavenly Dragon, Unyielding Strength", and the image of the five-clawed golden dragon originates from the design on the Nine Dragons Wall; the second one is named "Dragon Year Offering Blessings", and it is based on the traditional auspicious pattern "祥龙拱璧". The two stamps feature the classic colors of red， gold， and black， embodying grandeur， nobility， auspiciousness， and joy， and are complementary in movement and stillness. This set of stamps was designed by Wang Huming and printed by Beijing Postal Stamp Factory Co.， Ltd. The zodiac stamps issued by China Post condense the beautiful meanings of traditional folk culture and elements of the times， giving the zodiac culture new meanings. They have always been highly concerned by society and have become a classic symbol of zodiac culture.

The main venue of the launch event of the special stamps of the Year of the Dragon in the Year of the Dragon was held in the national-level scenic area - Longgong. It is located in Anshun City， Guizhou Province， and is one of the first batch of national AAAA-level tourist attractions. It is adjacent to the world-famous Huangguoshu Waterfall. "Swallowing rocks to form caves， spitting rocks to create flowers， the divine palace relies on water to be created； gathering water to form a pool， overturning water to form a waterfall， the beautiful scenery is born from the rocks." This is a true portrayal of the landscape of Longgong. Entering Longgong is like entering a "Cave Art Museum"， opening up a "Cave Painting's Spring and Autumn Scroll". The scenic area was rated as the world's two largest things by the Shanghai World Record Certification Institution. It was awarded the title of "the largest Chinese water cave" and "the most concentrated place of water and land caves" in the world. In 2017， the World Record Certification Institution evaluated the "Longzi Field" in the scenic area as the world's largest Chinese character landscape.

On the launch day， the main venue held a ceremony to unveil the launch of the zodiac stamps of the Year of the Dragon and the commemorative envelopes of the Dragon Palace， showcasing the design process and creative inspiration of the "Year of the Dragon" special stamps and the commemorative envelopes of the Dragon Palace. Through various forms such as stamp design， exhibition display， interactive experience， etc.， it presented the unique charm and spiritual connotation of Anshun local culture to the citizens. At the same time， 16 colored stamps and 2 main stamps， 14 scenic spot stamps were issued. The carrier of the stamps was specially made blank postcards with numbering， card shape， and with postage for delivery. A total of 40，000 stamps were issued for the first time. Additionally， a set of "Printed on Anshun" hardcover colored stamp collection (the first edition) was specially issued， with a limited edition of 1，000 sets， and it comes with a collection number.

At the event site， there was also an area for stamp affixing， activities such as sending greeting cards， visiting the stamp exhibition， "Visiting Longgong， Meeting the Dragon King， and Bringing Good Fortune" were held. Citizens could convey their blessings and care to their relatives and friends far away through a series of warm greeting cards. Through various rare stamps， postal products， and "dragon" culture-related postal products and materials， people could experience a more interesting and culturally rich travel method. As a famous tourist destination in the country， coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the opening of Longgong Scenic Area， this event provided a rare opportunity for guests to deeply understand the origin of "dragon" culture and jointly explore the mysteries of Chinese civilization.

At the same time， to thank the vast number of stamp collectors， from now until April 30， 2024， friends from all over the country and stamp collectors can visit Longgong for free (except for sightseeing buses， sightseeing elevators， and boat tickets).
