Dragon Palace Heavenly Pool (from below)

The Heavenly Pool of the Dragon Palace, also known as the Shengshui Dragon Spring, is located at an altitude of 1170 meters. It is 220 meters long and has an average width of about 50 meters. The water surface area is 12,500 square meters and the average water depth is 28 meters. The Heavenly Pool is the turning point of the underground river in the Dragon Palace. Due to the widening of the river channel and the continuous erosion of the rock mass by the underground water, the roof of the cave collapsed, forming the Heavenly Pool. It is the place with the lowest natural radiation dose rate in the world as determined by the International Atomic Energy Agency, and is one of the three most significant features of the Dragon Palace.
